Yogurt Based Pastry Crust Recipe

*This pastry crust is best when spiced and many recipes will ask you to add cheese, pepper, red pepper flakes, and other spices to help this fat-free dough reach its potential.  Feel free to experiment!

Yogurt Based Pastry

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup yogurt
  • 3-4 tbsp cold water
  1. Prepare crust.  In a food processor, combine flour, and salt. Next, add yogurt and water.  Process until mixture resembles rough breadcrumbs.
  2. Pour mixture onto table and shape into a flattened disc and cover with plastic wrap.  Refrigerate until needed (about 1 hour).
  3. Use as directed by recipe.
